Curiosity

Anyone know what's up with Polio's blog? I clicked on it and discovered he was up to 33 posts on his Christmas list for 2007. Thinking that was more than I had recalled from the last dozen or more times I visited, I checked them out--expecting family and friends to be making encouraging comments about updating the posts. Or snide remarks. Whatever.

What I discovered was a list of posts in the last few months that appear to be coming from another country--or at least are being posted in a language that is not English. Polio--are these friends of yours? Nosy people want to know what they have written.

Has Polio's blog become popular in another place and if he would just keep it up he could get a cult following? Has he learned a new language and is practicing his conversational skills?

Nosy people want to know. At least this one does.

Hard as it is for me to say this, you are, apparently, more persevering than I. I gave up on Polio long ago and no longer have his blog in my list. I'm reaching that point on most of that family's members as well. Too bad because they often had interesting things to tell us.

Apparently, the Chinese are bored because Polio isn't posting with regularity. On the other hand they are very impressed with our blogging family unit. After that I suspect it deteriorates into hotlinks to pornographic websites, which I shall decline to investigate.

Either that or the communist invasion has chosen Polio's blog as the launching platform for the coming onslaught.

Man--I want to have a change on the blogging rules. I want to be able to see the comment that was removed by the author. It may have been inspirational or thought-provoking, and I missed it!

Maybe Polio quit blogging because we didn't take his Christmas list seriously.

Confession: I deleted the duplicate comment. Sometimes the "comment saved" doesn't come up, and I send again. That's what happened; lame, I know, but that's the way it is.

Thanks for satisfying my curiosity. I had wondered if one of Polio's followers had wandered over, then decided this wasn't an exciting enough place to linger.

Well--this is how babelfish.com translated some of the posts:

"Welcome my world," indeed. I am guessing it is for the best that the translation appears to be incomplete. I don't think I want to know the exact true interpretation of the "sentiment."

I don't know about your imagination, but mine is going wild---from extremist terrorists to extremist porno.

WHEW!!

Taz doesn't read your blog, does she?

I don't think so--but she'd probably get bored with the string of nonsense words before she ever figured out what they are trying to say.

Oh my goodness--I just read the comments on Rake's blog entry about frugality--and the same folk are commenting like crazy that I saw on Polio's blog.

I don't think I'll try to get a translation.
